Whether you’ve been going to church your whole life, haven’t been in years, or have never been before, we’re glad you’re here. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need to believe a certain way or know what to do. We believe God meets us where we are—and so do we.
Our worship is centered on God’s grace, rooted in Scripture, and shaped by music, prayer, and preaching that connects faith to everyday life.
You can expect:
Feel free to participate as much or as little as you’re comfortable. You’re never singled out or put on the spot. If you come in the south entrance, worship bulletins are located on the table at the top of the steps. If you come in the east entrance (large, main steps), worship bulletins are located on the podium, to the right, in the entryway.
You can follow along with the worship in the bulletin or on the screens in the front of the church.
We celebrate Holy Communion regularly, and all are welcome at Christ’s table—no exceptions. You don’t need to be a member, Lutheran, or even sure what you believe.
If you’d rather remain seated, that’s completely okay.
For communion, ushers will assist in letting people know when they can come forward. We serve bread, but have a gluten-free option available. We also offer wine (red liquid - around the outside of the tray) and white grape juice (clear liquid-in the center of the tray).
Children are welcome to come up for communion. If a child asks for communion, we will serve them. If they are not ready for communion yet, they can come forward for a blessing and goldfish crackers.
Whatever makes you comfortable.
Some people dress up. Some come in jeans. God is not keeping score.
Children are always welcome in worship—wiggles, noises, and all.
Right outside the sanctuary, by the elevators, is a table specifically for our younger church visitors and members. You will find books, Legos, OSL children's activity announcements, and busy bags. We have different busy bags for different age groups, so check out the tags on the bag handle for age group information.
OSL church is an accessible building. Handicap parking is located in our main parking lot on the south side of the church. When you enter the church from the south side, the elevator is located to the left of the staircase on the main level.
We’d love to help. Reach out, or just come and see.
You belong before you believe.
We hope to meet you soon.
After visiting OSL, if you are interested in becoming a member, fill out the Member Information Form and we will get you connected with a member of our Evangelism Team who works with all of our new members.
