What we believe
Here at Our Saviors, we believe...

In the Triune God.  God created and loves all creation:   The earth and the seas and all of the world's inhabitants.

We believe that God's Son, Jesus Christ, transforms lives through his death on the cross and his new life, and we trust that Go's Spirit is active in the world.

We are part of God's unfolding plan.

When we gather in worship, we connect with believers everywhere.

When we study the Bible or hear God's word in worship, we are drawn more deeply into God's own saving story.

The convictions shared by Christians from many different traditions are expressed in statements of belief called Creeds.

These ecumenical Creeds that Lutherans affirm and use in worship confess the faith of the church through the ages and around the world.

Our Savior's Lutheran Church is an ELCA member congregation.

What does it mean to be an ELCA Congregation?
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America's (ELCA) story...

is both ancient and timely.  It's a story of a powerful and patient God who has boundless love for all people of the world.  It's a story that brings deep meaning, comfort, and strength to a growing community of people who live in modern, often unsettling times.  Learn more about our beliefs - and become part of this faith story.

All people seek meaning.  This can come in the form of knowledge, relationships, spirituality, or organized religion.  The ELCA is part of the Christian church.  We believe God's grace, God's unfathomable love, is available to all people as a gift through Jesus Christ.  All are welcome here with their whole selves, which includes one's race, ethnic background, past wrongdoing, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical ability, and legal status.  Questions of doubts are welcome!

Synod Information
We are part of the Western Iowa Synod

Situated on lush farmland, nestled within and east of the rolling Loess Hills and the storied Missouri River, the Western Iowa Synod is one of three ELCA Synods in Iowa, and one of 65 ELCA Synods in the US and Puerto Rico.

With a diverse and faith-filled history of native people and early settlers from Europe, we are joyfully called as servants to accompany over 40,000 baptized members, 116 congregations and their leaders, in guiding all people to God's saving grace.

Western Iowa Synod - equipping people for their baptismal vocation in the world and this church, through building relationships, reviewing worship, learning together, and growing in stewardship.
