Some people believe that growing in faith only happens when we are children.  At OSL, we believe that we are all life-long learners when it comes to our faith, rooted in the ELCA Lutheran tradition.

We invite you to grow in your faith, no matter your age, in whatever way speaks to you.  Join us for a bible study or listen to a podcast. Ask Pastor Doug about his favorite playlist on Spotify or check out a book in our library.  We welcome you to join us as you grow in your faith.

Adult Bible Study

Sunday    9:15AM - 10:10 AM - Adult Sunday School - Fellowship Hall

Thursday  9:30 AM - 11:00 AM - Bible Study - Fellowship Hall

There is never a right or wrong time to join a bible study, and you don't need to be a bible expert to be part of a bible study.  You don't even need to know what books are in the bible.  Just jump in!  Everyone is welcome for some great discussion about the bible and what it means to each of us.

Baptism

If you have not been baptised and are considering doing so, schedule a time to meet with Pastor Doug.  He would love to talk with you more about what baptism means and what your next steps might be.

If you make the decision to be baptised, please fill out our Baptism Request Form to schedule the baptism date with the church office.

Faith Building - Outside the church walls

Did you know that there are many ways that you can connect, outside of church, with your faith?  Have you ever considered attending a retreat or event at one of the great Lutheran camps in the area?  Check out the links below to explore the events in the area.  If there is an event that you would like to attend but don't want to go by yourself, let the church office know, and we can spread the word to see if anyone else from the congregation would be interested in attending also.

Living Lutheran

We are a church publication that values and encourages diverse voices and lively dialogue in our faith and life. Living Lutheran is an opportunity for church members to express individual perspectives, and does not necessarily reflect official positions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
